Just listened to the snippet of Living La Dolce Vita. No one, NO ONE produces Donna Summer like Giorgio Moroder. Her voice just RADIATES on this track and the production puts her, where she should be, front and center!

I really wish this would have been the strategy leaks to build momentum rather than full out releases of the mixes. Guess what we have heard so far is the real thing with no major changes in sight like the exclusion of WTMS or OTR. I am excited to take the day off on oct 22, head to the store to buy the real cd and drive all over town with it playing. I really hope there are more surprises to come like a full on release of the new song.

Even the mixes i’m not too fond of will be good on this album – I think we ought to remember it’s not really aimed at us old Donna Summer ‘fans’, it’s most likely been done to reach into the more contemporary dance clubs and to spark interest in her music for a newer audience. The only track I think they ought to have omitted is ‘Midnight Shift’ as the vocal is not Donna, or at least most part of the vocal. Otherwise I think there might just be some good energy surrounding this remix album.

They should have had vaulted songs released on a Target exclusive CD or with a DVD of unseen concert footage, etc. One can dream!

No disrespect, but, please remember that Donna has fans in countries other than the USA.
For international fans the preorder and presumably the previews will be available from Sept 30.
