Share Your Donna Summer Memories

Donna Summer 3 Year Anniversary

I wanted to commemorate this very special day in honor of “Our Diva” Donna Summer (Sudano) with a special post for all of Donna’s fans allowing them to reflect and share their memories to one another and to the world. There are no other fans like Donna Summer fans!! After 28 plus years of being in that special group I thought this would be the perfect place for us to come together in celebration of just what Donna means to all of us.

May 17th, 2015 is the 3 year anniversary of Donna’s passing. We would be honored if you shared your Donna Summer (Sudano) memories in celebration of her life, friendship and beautiful gifts that she gave to all of us. This page will appear in the early morning of May 17, 2015 for the world to see and share their memories as well. We encourage you to upload photos, facts and share whatever memories you might have regarding Donna Summer in a positive way. Your posts will be featured on our website and can be read by fans from all over the world as it will be actively promoted on the day of May 17, 2015 by The Donna Summer Fan Club.

Donna brought us many gifts musically, but her faith being the greatest of them all will forever be embedded in our hearts and souls. We must always remember that Donna loved each one of her fans; she was as proud of us as we were of her, this will remain forever true. Today is not a day to mourn for her, but to celebrate her life and the many gifts she unselfishly shared with us. We are as unique as Donna was, as we are Donna Summer Fans with undying love and respect for Donna and her family. We bless the family on this day in celebration of the life and anniversary of a truly “extra-ordinary girl” Donna Summer (Sudano).

Please share your thoughts with us and feel free to post this page wherever you want and share and remember “always take a little Donna with you wherever you go”

We love you Donna! RIP

Tom Gilliam

Donna Summer – The Best Friend

Donna Summer – The Best Friend

At 14 years old I moved from a very large city to a very small city in another state. The kids didn't accept me right away, in fact they were kind of mean to me. One day I heard a voice coming from my radio and it was beautiful. It was singing "I Love You" from the Once Upon a Time album. It was, of course, Donna. She ...

My angel Donna Summer has been watching over me since 1989

The first time I met Donna was at an art opening in Beverly Hills. I was such a big fan and was so nervous about meeting her that i over-fortified myself with the Courvoisier they were serving. By the time I got into the room I was pretty wobbly and she was concerned about me. She autographed her watercolor called ...

we lost a really great person, and a really great, creative artist. As the events of the past decades, including the passing of one of the best vocalists of all time, and how the world marches on, the picture becomes more clear, about where we are headed, and where we have been. I can see the big picture, and the ...

As many of Donna's fans, I meet her on the dance floor with "Love to Love you Baby".   I have a lot of beautiful memories about Donna Summer because she always brought joy and love into my life through her music and person. “SUMMER FEVER”

On May 17, 2012, I was at work, sitting at my desk when my phone rang. It was a co-worker who worked at a different location than I did. "Jimmie! Did you hear the news?", is what I remember her saying when I answered the phone. "No. What news?", I said. "Donna Summer died!", she replied. I think, I responded instantly ...

To My Invisible Mentor With Love

I can still remember the Saturday my Mom and I made the drive from Lompoc, CA to Los Angeles to pick my dad from LAX. For someone growing up in Lompoc in the 70's prior to high speed internet and premium cable stations, going to L.A. was a supreme pilgrimage. It was a chance to see the big city. It was exciting to ...

Although there are many memories throughout the 30+ years that I have been a fan, one of the more intimate ones happened during her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. Hmmm... what do I remember most about Donna? Was it the awesome music? Well, yeah there is that.  The concerts? Well of course! But I think what always struck me most about Donna is her warmth and humility. When you saw her, there was no "diva" - well, unless she was putting it on as a joke.  :-)  Whether she was just ...

Why I love Donna Summer & her music

When I was a nine years old boy, she was my one and only girl. I loved her music and recognized her as something incredibly special, even at that age.
