That was in 1983 during “Donna Summer Day” in Boston.
Donna told the crowd that although she left High School to follow her dream, it was important for everyone to stay in school and graduate. Further she said that if she lost her voice tomorrow she would have no other way of supporting herself.

1983 – She told them to stay in school and get a good education. I quote “If I lost my voice tomorrow I would have no way to support myself.” That is part of what she said when she gave her speech.
